1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using keygen-automotive.com (the "Service") you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a binding contract between you and KEYGEN AUTOMOTIVE ("we", "us"). They reference our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.
2. Description of service
The Service provides automotive electronics tooling for industry professionals, including but not limited to:
- Online PIN calculators and IMMO decoders.
- Database lookups (PIN codes, dumps, wiring diagrams, technical documentation).
- Key programming and immobilizer support information.
- Mileage correction and chip tuning resources.
Specific tools and database coverage may be added or removed without prior notice.
3. Eligibility and account
- You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts.
- You must be an automotive professional, locksmith, workshop, or otherwise legitimately engaged in the trade.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
- One person may hold one account. Multiple accounts created to abuse limits or pricing may be terminated.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to perform unlawful activity, including but not limited to vehicle theft, unauthorised access to vehicles you do not own, odometer fraud against consumers, or evasion of emissions regulations where prohibited by law.
- Resell, redistribute, scrape, or republish data, calculator output, or database content without our written consent.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or breach security or authentication measures.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the Service except via APIs we explicitly provide.
- Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
5. Subscriptions and payments
- Plans: we offer Single Use (pay-per-use), Professional (monthly subscription), and Enterprise (custom). Current pricing is shown on the homepage.
- Billing: subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle until cancelled. You authorise us (and our payment processor) to charge your selected payment method.
- Currency & taxes: prices are listed in GBP (£) and exclude applicable VAT/sales tax, which is added at checkout where required.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails we may suspend access until the balance is settled.
- Price changes: we may change pricing for future billing cycles with at least 30 days' notice.
6. Refunds and cancellations
- Subscriptions: you may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial months unless required by law.
- Single-Use purchases / digital deliverables (PIN codes, dumps, calculator outputs): by purchasing you expressly consent to immediate delivery and waive your right of withdrawal under EU/UK consumer law where the result has been generated and delivered. Refunds for failed deliveries are issued at our discretion.
- Statutory rights: nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights under your local law.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, source code, calculators, databases, and content, is owned by KEYGEN AUTOMOTIVE or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your professional automotive work, subject to these Terms. No other rights are granted.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of database content, or non-infringement.
While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that PIN codes, dump files, calculator outputs, or technical documentation are error-free or current. You assume full responsibility for verifying results before performing operations on a vehicle.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the Service.
- Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. for fraud or for death/personal injury caused by negligence).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KEYGEN AUTOMOTIVE and its operators from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right (including vehicle ownership and consumer protection law).
11. Termination
- You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or via the dashboard.
- We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms or use the Service for unlawful purposes.
- On termination, sections 7–10, 12 and 13 survive.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence where required by mandatory law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in your dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
